We can all so easily come up with a plan for a trip, the likely hood of us sticking to this plan however is very minimal. I have spent the last month with coming up with extravagent ideas of how i can keep myself occupied in Europe only to find out that wait… that timing doesnt work…thats too expensive… what the hell is an auberge de jeunesse…so in brief I have come up with a shell of countries and places to visit including round about timelines, so you can keep up
12th July I arrive in Dubai, I will (definitely) be staying here for 10 days with my delightful friend Jenny and her delightful husband Joe. Here I plan to explore the crazy shopping centres and the indoors it would seem as the weather is going to be ridonkulous! 50 degrees and humid or something like that – unsure if i am prepared mentally for this but should be a good time.
From here on the 21st July I head to London, here I will be staying briefly with my dear friend Tehya and exploring around – going to attempt to start a bank account there to get me started – anyone know how this works?
On the 26th I go to Amsterdam here i will be meeting up with my quality pals from St Kilda VIC and shall be staying for 3 nights and exploring the life and times of the dutch. I hear that this place is known for a good time…I do like a good time.
30/31st ish I will be heading to Belgium for funsies and a hello, with my recent claim to belgian nationality I feel it is a ride I should go on. Going to try and explore the country side here and try and get some authentic grub.
A few days later I head to Paris – what a delight! My friend Cushla is renting an apartment for the month and luckilly is letting me come stay for a couple of weeks. Here we plan to eat all the cheese and wine, explore the route de cidre and go to disney land, cant wait. Once I am done in Paris, and Cushla departs around the 18th August I plan to head to Bordeaux for a couple of days and then venture off to spain!
Bilbao in espanol is in the midst of Aste Nagusia when I arrive which stands for “Big Week”. It looks like a grand festival so I am going to explore that for a couple days…
From here is becomes very hazy….so i will deliver the places I want to see in dot points:
- Madrid
- Portugal – want to do a tour here
- Malaga
- Valencia (Tomalita is on the 31st August)
- Barcelona
- Berlin
- Munich
- Stuttgart
